Finextra and Intel assess data centre strategies for capital markets (press release) :

Finextra is partnering with Intel to explore critical data centre management issues for capital markets firms.

Absent adherence to standards for editorial independence, this looks an awful lot like another advertorial partnership for producing non-credible “research” on the cheap.

The Finextra/Intel study will seek to uncover common processing bottlenecks and address business and risk management priorities for data centre ops management. The report will also rate and track the importance of new technologies and their impact on data centre infrastructure planning in the financial markets.

By taking the time to fill in the short questionnaire, you will automatically receive a copy of the survey’s findings when the report is published later in 2006. You will also qualify to enter a prize draw for a Sony PSP.

To participate in the survey, visit: Finextra/Intel data centre strategies.

Is a straw poll of Web site users a proper basis for credible research on industry trends?
